Ever since I can remember, I have been making things. Sometimes sculpture, sometimes drawing, but the focus has been on creating the essence of who I am and then sharing the work. I live in Sierra Madre, California with the love of my life Jerry and our two Australian Shepherds Yoshi and Luigi. I teach ceramics and digital design at a private high school in the Pasadena area.

I basically have 3 passions, making art, being in nature (specifically the Sierra Nevada mountains of California), and practicing Yoga and Meditation. I find that all three interlace in a way that nurtures and supports me. This focus has been the inspiration for my drawings, and now for my soon to be pulished book "Visual Illuminations"

I discovered drawing on black paper about 8 years ago. What I found was a way to create light. There is a wonderful contrast between the blackness of the paper, and the white Prismacolor as an under base which allows me to focus on creating light. That is the true intent of my drawings. Being in the Light! I use all kinds of images to reflect what I am feeling and experiencing in my day to day life. A lot of the images come from dreams, but often they are images that come to me after spending a day out in the garden or hiking in the local mountains.
